Though Roxanne Guinoo continues to keep mum on rumors alluding to her alleged pregnancy, it seems that many have already deemed it to be true.

Former boyfriend and co-star Jake Cuenca received the news coolly when confronted by newshounds.

Cuenca expressed “happiness” about the alleged condition of his former flame. “Congratulations to Roxanne. I’m very happy for her,” said he.

Reports about Guinoo’s supposed pregnancy started after the actress quit the soap, “Magkano ang Iyong Dangal?”

According to the grapevine, Guinoo relinquished the role as supposedly because her boyfriend prevented her to do certain scenes. Eventually, the rumor grew into that of Guinoo supposedly hiding a growing tummy from the media.

Valerie “Bangs” Garcia, who replaced Guinoo in the soap dismissed the rumor but shared that she would be “sad” if it proved true.

“It would be unfortunate as she is almost… she is at the pinnacle of a thriving career,” she explained adding, “The opportunities will be vastly different for someone who is married from that of somebody still single.”

Adding spice to the whole brouhaha is veteran scribe, Dolly Ann Carvajal’s seeming “confirmation” of Guinoo’s pregnancy. Carvajal discussed the matter in her showbiz talk show program aired on dzMM, Sunday.

Guinoo’s beau is supposed to be a certain Elton Yap, said to be a rich Chinese businessman a few years her junior.

Although the couple is said to have planned for a quick wedding early on, it hit a snag after a relative of Yap got hitched.

Chinese tradition considers it bad luck to have consecutive marriages within a single year.
