Members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) of the Pasay police conducted simultaneous anti-criminality and law enforcement operations leading to the arrest of two wanted persons.
Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspects as Cristina Mengote, 33, alias “Tina” and Joseph Galon, 50, alias “Negro”.
Uy said Mengote was arrested for illegal possession of drugs at around 1:00 p.m. along F.B. Harrison St., Barangay 70, Pasay City on Wednesday, June 28.
He said Mengote was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Divina Gracia Lopez Peliño, of Pasay Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 231 on May 17, 2016 without bail recommended.
The city police chief said Galon was arrested for frustrated murder at around 1:00 a.m. along Tramo St., Barangay 45, Pasay City.
Galon was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Elmer Joseph R. Gurerzon, of Pasay RTC Branch 114, Pasay City on June 6, 2023 with P24,000.00 bail recommended.
