Christian Bautista set to perform at Music Museum
Asian Pop Idol and romantic balladeer Christian Bautista is set to perform in a solo concert at the Music Museum on March 12-13. The show entitled “Christian Bautista: Romance Revisited” is produced by ASAP Live as part of its ASAP XV Concert Series.
Christian, who was a “Star In A Million” finalist, started his musical career early in 2004 and soon released a self-titled debut album.
Through his multi-platinum album, Christian established his name as an OPM artist. His carrier single “The Way You Look at Me” crossed the country’s borders as it topped the charts here in the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
Shortly after topping the music charts, his next albums came out: “Completely” in 2005, “Just A Love Song…Christian Bautista Live!” in 2006, and “Captured” in 2008 which all won the hearts of his listeners. His success overseas has earned him the tag “Asian Pop Idol.”
Christian’s latest album, “Romance Revisited: the Love Songs of Jose Mari Chan” which includes 19 magnificently recorded tracks has indeed captivated the whole country. With the carrier single “Tell Me Your Name,” his album immediately ranked number one in Odyssey three months after its release.
Aside from singing, he also ventured in theatrical plays. He has proven himself in his first appearance on stage in “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” where he earned raves from critics for his acting debut. Other plays he engaged in were “Joseph and the Dreamer” and the most recent musical play he participated in was the “Westside Story” with Karylle.
Christian Bautista has shared his music with “ASAP” for more than five years. He has been a part of ASAP’s league of champions and Pop Icons. Last year, he won the ASAP Pop Viewers Choice 2009 award for Best Pop Male Performance for “Tell Me Your Name.”

‘Miss You Like Crazy,’ another big hit from Star Cinema!
The magic behind Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz’s phenomenally successful love team was felt once again as the celebrated on-screen couple gained P18M box office gross nationwide on the very first day on this special reunion for Star Cinema’s latest offering, the film “Miss You Like Crazy.”
Hundreds of fans patiently waited for their favorite stars in Trinoma and SM Megamall last Feb. 23 to express their love and support for the love team.
This is probably the reason why John Lloyd thinks every new project with Bea becomes a celebration.
“It becomes a big event all of a sudden. I’d like to believe na malaking step into maturity yun.”
“Natutuwa naman po kami sa kakaibang suportang ipinakita ng mga fans at ng Star Cinema sa aming pelikula,” says Bea, whose last big-screen team-up with John Lloyd in the movie One More Chance raked in millions at the box office and earned for them the titles of Box Office King and Queen for 2007.
Direk Cathy further describes the plot as a love story told in a unique way, “Ibang-iba ang tono. Mas mature ang kilig moments.” In the film, John Lloyd plays a serious type of guy who suddenly found himself emotionally torn between her long-time girlfriend and a girl he just met. Bea, on the other hand, plays a bubbly lass whose destiny may have led her to the perfect man at the most imperfect time. “Madaming makaka-relate sa movie,” Bea enthuses, “Lalo na sa panahon ngayon. Sa mga di naniniwala sa destiny na naging jaded na, mapapa-isip ka, ‘ano kaya, totoo kaya ang destiny?’”
Well-known celebrities also graced the movie premiere and were truly pleased with what they have witnessed:
Gretchen Barretto: Hindi yata ako nakaiyak ng ganito karami in a long, long time, effective si Bea at si Lloydie sa kanilang mga emotions, I just super love the movie. Watch it!
Sam Milby: Well this is movie you definitely cannot miss at all, ganda talaga!
Anne Curtis: Sobrang ganda, nakakaiyak siya, sobrang relatable for couples.
