Two members of alleged private armed group in Nueva Ecija surrender
NUEVA ECIJA – Two active members of an alleged private armed group here surrendered to the authorities on Monday, July 3, police report said on Tuesday, July 4.
Joint elements of General Tinio Police (lead unit), and other law enforcement unit conducted a Special Intelligence Operation that resulted in the surrender of two members of BAL Private Armed Group.
The two members of the alleged private armed group were identified as a certain alias ‘John,’ 49, a resident of Barangay Cabilaoan, Laoac, Pangasinan and alias ‘Rey,’ 65, a resident of Barangay Concepcion, General Tinio, Nueva Ecija.
Reports said that Alias John and alias Rey personally appeared to Gen. Tinio Police and submitted themselves, and at the same time turned over three loose firearms – a Cal. 38 revolver, 1 Cal. 8mm pistol, and 1 Cal .22 revolver) -- and assorted ammunition for said calibers.
The former gang members are now undergoing debriefing at Gen. Tinio Police headquarters.
