Sade entrenches 'Soldier' into US album chart
Sade digs deep into the trenches of the pop charts with their latest album “Soldier Of Love” holding on to the top of the US Billboard album charts for the third straight week. Sade retains the top slot by moving 127,000 units of their new album.
In the singles chart, Black Eyed Peas maintains its hold on the number one spot for the second straight week with “Imma Be.” The Peas’ latest chart topper is the third single from their “The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies) CD to hit number one.
Young Money featuring Lloyd moves up to its highest position in the singles chart so far with “Bedrock,” which lodges itself on number two this week. Lady Antebellum likewise improves its standing by going up two notches to number three with “Need You Now.” The country trio also improves its standing in the albums chart by surging up to number two this week.
Ke$ha plummets down from number two to number four in the Hot 100 singles chart with “Tik Tok.” The former number one hit, the first for Ke$ha, held on to the top for nine weeks before getting dethroned by Black Eyed Peas. Rihanna is the biggest gainer in singles chart this week as her new single “Rude Boy,” moves up 15 notches from twenty-three to number eight. Trey Songz featuring Fabolous improves his last week’s showing by moving up a step to number nine with “Say Aah.” Jason Derulo moves down this week but likewise makes it in the singles top ten with “In My Head,” to complete this week’s countdown of biggest songs in the US.
