Rochelle Barrameda gives birth to baby boy

Former beauty queen Rochelle Barrameda gave birth via caesarean section to her 8.12-pound baby boy with husband Jimwell Stevens on Mar. 3. They are calling the baby Jimelle Robby.

The former actress hopes to be released from the hospital on March 14, to commemorate the third death anniversary of her sister, Ruby Rose Barrameda-Jimenez, who was brutally killed, stuffed and cemented inside a steel case. The said container was found floating along a river in Navotas on June 2009.

“’Yong ibang suspect ho, sana magkaroon na rin ho ng agarang paghahanap sa kanila,” she said.

She also prays for the approval of the petition for review that their family filed to the Department of Justice to re-investigate her sister’s estranged husband, Manuel Jimenez III, who might be involved in the gruesome incident.

Vilma Santos proud of Luis’ acting award

More than a proud actress, Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos is a proud mom—particularly when her son Luis Manzano bagged the “Best Supporting Actor” trophy at the Gawad Tanglaw Awards held recently.

“Siyempre umiral ‘yong pagka-nanay ko kasi first time. Na-excite ako para sa anak ko. Marami na rin siyang naging awards, pero more on hosting. Pero ito acting award. I’m very, very proud of him,” she enthused on “Startalk.”

After seven years, Vilma was recognized once again as best actress by the award giving body for her comeback movie with her son and John Lloyd Cruz, “In My Life.”

The 2009 blockbuster hit took home five awards all in all: Best Actress, Best Actor (John Lloyd Cruz), Best Supporting Actor, Best Film, and Best Director (Olivia Lamasan).

Camille Prats and husband wed in church

Actress Camille Prats exchanged wedding vows with Anthony Linsangan last Mar. 5 at the Sanctuario De San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati.

The two got together on Dec. 5, 2004. They were wed civilly on Jan. 5, 2008 in Los Angeles, California.

Few weeks after, she gave birth to their first son, Nathan, on Jan. 24.

In a prior interview, the couple said they waited for Nathan to grow a bit in order to witness their matrimony.
