Square Enix, the company behind my all time favorite game Final Fantasy has a confirmed that the thirteenth installment in the Final Fantasy series is due for release in North America and PAL regions on March 9, 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The concept for Final Fantasy XIII's battle system is to maintain the strategic nature of command-based battles. The game features both futuristic and natural elements; it is set between a land of wilderness and the high-tech world above it. Square-Enix describes the theme of the game as "those who resist the world".

The characters for Final Fantasy XIII are Lightning, Snow Villiers, Oerba Dia Vanille, Sazh Katzroy, Hope Estheim, and Oerba Yun Fang. The villains on the other hand are Jihl Nabaat, Yaag Rosch, Cid Raines, Galenth Dysley, and Orphan. The other characters are Serah Farron, Rygdea, Dajh Katzroy, Team Nora which comprised of Gadot, Lebreau, Maqui and Yuj.

I still miss two of my favorite Final Fantasy characters Taidus and Yuna, I miss Lulu and Wakka too. And everytime I got the chance, despite the new versions, I still manage to watch some romantic music videos created with Taidus and Yuna in it. Happy Gaming to all.
