3-in-1 Acoustic showcase at Skydome

Three leading solo acts heat up ‘the little Big Dome’ this March in a show bound to celebrate the return of acoustic scene. Top acoustic sensations Aiza Seguerra, Juris Fernandez, and Princess join forces on stage in a concert dubbed Acoustic Sessions with Aiza, Princess and Juris. The 3-in-1 spectacle is scheduled on April 16, 8 p.m. at Skydome in SM North Edsa.

All three have certified platinum albums to boot as recording artists, practically lording the acoustic landscape over particular periods during the past decade.

Produced by Viva Concerts and Events, Acoustic Sessions with Aiza, Princess and Juris is a sure winner among aficionados of acoustic sound. The distinct, sweet voice of each act should make the concert appealing in various ways.

Available in all SM Ticketnet outlets, tickets for this much-awaited back-to-back-to-back all-platinum-artists event come in shining gold (P1,500) and silver (P1,000).

True Faith launches new all-original album

After the release of their Greatest Hits album from former label EMI, True Faith, a 90s biggie which survived the last decade through a couple of more hits and never-fading visibility, is back with an all-original material called “Love Parade.” The group is launching its latest record at the Eastwood in Libis, Quezon City, on Friday night.

The 12-song package from the band’s new home Viva Records is freshly out in the market with the album’s carrier single “Yun Lang.” The song written by True Faith’s main man Medwin Marfil features back-up vocals by Armi Millare of Up Dharma Down. It simultaneously debuted a few days back over FM stations Jam 88. 3, Magic 89.9., 99.5 RT. Max 103.5 and NU 107.

Marfil describes the lead track as “new-wavey,” opening the album on a high note and with much hope as a new chapter in their long history begins. Other promising songs are “Pangako,” “Mountain Wind,” “Lihim,” “Parada,” and “Strangeflower” which features Luke Mejares, Corporate Lo-fi’s Ryan Armamento, and Out of Body Special’s Carlos Magnos.
