PDA’s 2nd Star Dreamer Bugoy remains simple, releases second album

"I am not keen yet on falling in love. I have a career that started well, and so I have to give it my entire attention,” Bugoy stressed during an informal dialogue with some entertainment writers. Bugoy Drilon is indeed sincere with his statement. Like any artist that was suddenly catapulted to the limelight, Bugoy is now so busy with his singing career.
His second album, simply titled “Bugoy,” features seven OPM (Original Pilipino Music), one of which – “Paano Na Kaya” – became a hit and was used as the official soundtrack in a recent Star Cinema movie with the same title.
The other songs are “Hindi Na Bale,” “Dahil Tanging Ikaw,” “Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin,” “Ikaw Ang Mamahalin,” “Pagkat Mahal Kita,” “Sana’y Ibigin Mo,” and “Paano Na Kaya.”
The album was produced, for Star Records, by well-known composer Vehnee Saturno.
The album’s carrier single, “Hindi Na Bale,” is now enjoying good airplay in various radio stations nationwide and is being used as a sub-love theme song in ABS-CBN’s “Tanging Yaman” drama series.
Happily, Bugoy said that as an artist he has been booked with other performers abroad, and he has visited the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Golden Gate in San Francisco, California and Dubai in UAE, among other places abroad. Bugoy is the male counterpart of Cinderella!
“I have already bought my car, a Ford,” Bugoy also revealed. And the Belo medical group is taking care of his appearance. “Nothing was changed on my body,” he added. “There was only a slight enhancement of my looks.”
In spite of his celebrity status now, Bugoy still looks simple – the only difference is that he is wearing now more expensive or signature clothings and attire.
Bugoy won as the Second Star Dreamer in the “Pinoy Dream Academy” Season Two wherein he won more than P1-million worth of prizes.
“I gave the money to my mother,” Bugoy said.
“I believe luck favored me much, but even then, that was not enough,” he stressed. “I have to work hard also, especially now that I am in the limelight!”
His album is now available in all record bars nationwide.

It’s really in God’s time!
Everything is really in God’s time, Judy Ann Santos said about her two-month pregnancy. “We’ve been waiting for this for quite a long time, ngayon nga e dumating na. It’s really in God’s time, and we’re so excited.” Choking with emotion, she thanked her fans, friends, and family for their continued support and love.
If her husband, Ryan Agoncillo, did not tell the writers who interviewed him last week for his show “Talentadong Pinoy,” it was because they wanted to be very sure of the result of the ultra sound that Juday went through. But some believe that Ryan intentionally did not tell the press that his wife was already pregnant because he wanted to announce it himself on “Eat Bulaga!” where he is a co-host.
Very excited and happy of course was Juday’s mom, Mommy Carol who said “di niyo lang alam ang pinagdaanan nila para mabuntis si Juday, so we’re very happy that finally magkakaanak na sila.”
Three other pregnant showbiz personalities
We were told that there are three other showbiz personalities who are currently pregnant. They are Andrea del Rosario, Gwen Garci, and another member of sexy group Viva Hot Babes. The group had disbanded, we were told. Regine Velasquez was also rumored to be in that interesting stage, but it’s not true according to Ogie Alcasid’s manager.

Pinky Labordo: A woman of faith and service
After spearheading several fundraising and outreach projects for her younger daughters’ school, a Chinese Catholic School, Rhodora “Pinky” Fabreag Labordo felt so fulfilled that she said “I felt that after my two terms as president of the Parent Auxiliary, I became a woman of faith and service.” It was because the beneficiaries of such projects were the less fortunate. Aside from this, her great sense of fulfillment came from the fact that her being visible in her daughters’ school activities helped built their confidence.
Pinky, a native of Concepcion, Romblon, has the support of her Chinese businessman husband with whom she has three adorable daughters aged 18, 16 and 13. Although she is hands-on as wife and mother, Pinky also gives time for her own happiness, growth, and well-being. She goes out with friends for lunch or dinner and goes to the gym regularly. Thanks to her weight trainer, bike spinning instructors and yoga teacher, she has maintained her 26-inch waistline, certainly not common for women of her age (46!).
Fashion is one of Pinky’s passions. Inspired by the late Hollywood actress Audrey Hepburn and her best friend Mrs. Cathy Dacay when it comes to dressing up, she makes sure that when she steps out of the house, she is always dressed properly and well-groomed. “You never know when you’re going to meet the President so you have to be presentable all the time,” she quipped.
But with all her interest in fashion, Pinky believes that it only plays second to the face that she shows the world. Wherever, whenever and with whoever she is, she always carries a smile on her face which she believes is her best accessory. With it matched with great confidence, and positive attitude, she’s ready to conquer the world anytime.
By the way, Pinky and her daughters Denise, Steffi, and Maddi will model the latest creations of Goullee Gorospe on March 28 at the Grand Villas in Pioneer St., Mandaluyong City. The fashion show is entitled “Impressions and Expressions (Fashion X7).”
