LONDON (dpa) – Oscar-winning British film actress Kate Winslet and her filmmaker husband Sam Mendes have separated after nearly seven years of marriage, their lawyers said Tuesday (Manila time).

“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year,” said a statement by Schillings, the prominent London law firm.

The split was “entirely amicable and by mutual agreement” and both parties were fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children, said the statement. It was Winslet’s second marriage, following her divorce from film director Jim Threapleton in December, 2001.Winslet and Mendes tied the knot in a secret ceremony in the Caribbean in May, 2003. They have one son.

Beyoncé’s dancer to join ‘Party Pilipinas’

MANILA – International choreographer Ruben “Fusion” Monet Ludlow arrived Wednesday, March 17, to join GMA’s upcoming musical variety show “Party Pilipinas” which premieres on March 28.

Fusion has worked all over the world as top choreographer, dancer, and hip hop teacher. He has orchestrated moves in tours for many successful international artists and performed with Beyoncé, Akon, P. Diddy, Justin Timberlake, Will Smith, among others. Known as “Diddy of the Dance World” and “Grandmaster Choreographer,” Fusion founded Kung Fu hip hop.
