Parañaque LGU distributes birthday cash gifts to senior citizens

The Parañaque city government started the distribution of cash gifts to senior citizens who celebrated their birthdays on January to June. Mayor Eric Olivarez said senior citizens aged 64 to 74 years old each are entitled to receive  P500; seniors aged 75 to 84 are given P1,000 each; and those aged 85 years old and above are given P2,500 each. Olivarez said the distribution of cash gifts for senior citizens started on Monday, July 17, held in Barangays Tambo and Don Galo. He said a total of 983 senior citizens in Barangay Tambo and 702 in Barangay Don Galo received their birthday cash gifts. The mayor said the second day of distribution of cash gifts on Tuesday, July 18, was held in Barangays La Huerta. Olivarez said based on the record of the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), a total of 13,500 senior citizens will receive birthday cash gifts. According to the advisory of OSCA, the distribution of birthday cash gifts will be from July 17 to August 1. The OSCA advised senior citizens who failed to claim their cash gifts to visit its office on August 2,3,4,7 and 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
