Suzuki unveiled its challenger for the 2010 MotoGP championship with the new GSV-R sporting a new livery.

Although the team is still partners with Rizla, the team changed its color scheme with a new design inspired by motorsport helmet and clothing designer ‘Troy Lee’s studio.’

Loris Capirossi is now joined in the team by Alvaro Baustista who recently graduated from the 250cc series. Chris Vermeulen has returned to the Superbikes series after four years with the Suzuki factory team.

Although the team finished a dismal fourth place in the Constructor’s championships in last year’s MotoGP, the squad is optimistic that their new challenger will be more competitive this season.

According to a statement from Suzuki, the new GSV-R has been developed with much improved acceleration and with increased durability that meets the new engine restrictions that will be implemented into this year’s championship.

The new bike also received improvements in aerodynamics, chassis performance and electronic systems making this the most technically advanced motorcycle that the Suzuki factory has ever produced.
