Two new variants of Kia’s top-selling models – the Kia Sorento Highline Cruiser and the Kia Soul Urban Crossover – will be launched soon at special introductory prices, according to Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC), authorized distributor of Kia in the Philippines.

The two new variants are the Kia Sorento 2.2L 5-seater CRDi and Kia Soul 1.6L Gamma gasoline.
The Kia Sorento 2.2L 5-seater CRDi delivers the power and energy to meet urban lifestyle demands while keeping fuel consumption at low levels. The Sorento’s famous R2.2 liter CRDi E-VGT enhanced power translates into better acceleration capable of handling the Sorento’s larger demands.

The Kia Sorento 2.2L CRDi retains the styling touches of its gas-powered kin. In true sedan-like fashion, the interior is comfortable and stylish, complete with high-tech amenities and versatile seating and storage capabilities.

The Kia Soul 1.6L model meanwhile will make this new Urban Crossover more affordable to the younger set. The Kia Soul packs a powerful 1.6-liter Gamma gasoline engine with a maximum output of 124 ps and will be available as a five-door hatchback with front wheel drive, has an overall length of 4,105 mm, and a 2,550 mm wheelbase.

The two new variants retain the same essential qualities and amenities that have made these cars Kia’s top-selling models. In the Sorento diesel for instance, only the 5-seater configuration has varied from the original 7-seater. The rest of the styling touches remain unchanged. In the Soul, only the 1.6L engine displacement has changed from the original 2.0L. The unique design elements and amenities remain the same.

The Kia Sorento 2.4L 4x2 5-seater gas has an introductory price of P1.495 million. The 2.2L 4x2 diesel, P1.595 million. The Kia Sorento 2.4L 4x4 5-seater gas variant meanwhile has an introductory price of P 1.595 million and its 2.2L 4x4 diesel version, P1.695 million.

A special package is available offering the buyer to make a fixed, non-refundable deposit of P300,000 good for 180 days, to avail of the special pre-selling price of only P1.195 million for the Sorento 4x2 gas, P1.295 million for the 4x2 diesel, P1.295 million for the 4x4 gas and P1.395 million for the 4x4 diesel. The non-refundable (within 180 days) reservation deposit of P300,000 will be deducted from the total price of the purchased unit.

The Kia Soul 1.6L gas meanwhile is being offered at an introductory price of P1.075 million. However, the customer can make a fixed deposit of P200,000 to avail of the Soul 1.6L special pre-selling price of P875,000.

Delivery for both models is within a period of 180 days from the time the reservation deposit is paid. If no delivery is made within the prescribed period, the customer may still opt to withdraw his or her reservation deposit and be refunded in full.
