LTFRB suspends bus firm
A bus line, involved in a vehicular accident Monday that resulted in the death of one person, was suspended by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
The LTFRB ordered the immediate suspension of the operation of Elena Bus Liner, as well as its other 28 units for 30 days.
Authorities said that the bus line was ordered to surrender all the license plates of their fleet to the legal division of the board within five days upon receipt of order.
The LTFRB said that law enforcers will confiscate license plates of the bus involved and its other units if found operating.
The operator was instructed to show cause within five days from receipt of why his Certificate of Public Convenience issued to him should not be cancelled and/or revoked for employing a reckless driver.
Also, the LTFRB ordered all drivers of the bus line to undergo a driver’s learning seminar and drug tests.
