Security all set for Pana-ad fest
BACOLOD CITY (PNA) – Security measures are already set in place to ensure the success of Negros Occidental’s “Pana-ad Festival.”
Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director, Senior Supt. Manuel Felix said they have launched “Oplan Pana-ad” which contains the detailed preparations that include VIP protection and traffic management to ensure the safety of revelers.
NOPPO acting spokesperson Chief Insp. Jefferson Descallar said a conference was already held to discuss the details of the security plan.
Meanwhile, NOPPO deputy provincial director for operations, Supt. Armando Tubongbanua appealed to Negrenses and other guests who will visit the Pana-ad festival site from March 20 to 27 to avoid bringing deadly weapons like firearms and knives.
Tubongbanua likewise said that the bringing of beer and soda bottles outside the designated drinking area will be prohibited to avoid any untoward incident to occur.
“Parents of children below fouryears old are also advised not to allow their kids to go to places where alcoholic drinks are served to ensure their safety,” he said.
Policemen, military personnel and other friendly forces will conduct inspection in all entry points at the Pana-ad Park, according to Tubongbanua.
