Toni Rose Gayda’s son dies in fall from building
James Lim, the eldest son of TV personality Toni Rose Gayda, was reported to have fallen from a condominium to his death early morning March 19.
The report was aired on “Showbiz Mismo” by host Ambet Nabus, a close friend of Gayda.
Nabus told Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online through a phone interview that Toni Rose’s camp did not disclose further detail about the accident. Nabus is still trying to verify details of the report as of this writing.
However, tweet messages posted by ABS-CBN showbiz reporter Marie Lozano this afternoon stated that Lim “fell off the veranda of their 4th floor apartment,” later adding that he did so “while smoking.”
The message added that Lim’s remains are now at “Sanctuario San Jose in Greenhills.”
James, 27, was survived by his mother and brother, John Lim.
Gayda is the daughter of the former Philippine National Red Cross governor and public servant, Rosa Rosal. Gayda is best known for her shows “Eat Bulaga,” “Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko,” and “Lunch Date.”
Recall that in 2003, Miko Sotto, the son of Ali Sotto, another “Eat Bulaga” host, also died after falling from the ninth floor of a condominium building in Mandaluyong City.
