Young actor Aljur Abrenica says he has forgiven Michelle Saludo, the 15-year old aspiring actress who has accused him of sexually harassing her during their chance encounter in Puerto Galera last April 10, 2009.

“Opo napatawad ko na po silang mag-ina. Pero ako po ‘yun. Hindi ko po alam sa family ko, ‘yung tatay ko, kung anong iniisip nila… kung anong magiging aksyon nila ‘pag nagkita-kita po kami,” the 19-year old hunk told “Startalk.”

And just last March 18, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the dismissal of the “acts of lasciviousness” case filed by Michelle’s mother, Rachel Saludo, against him, due to “lack of probable cause.”

“Nagpapasalamat po ako kay Lord na natapos na rin at lumabas na ‘yung katotohanan… Wala po akong ibang hangad kundi matapos na ‘to,” he said.

While he admitted that both his parents were hugely affected by the scandal, Aljur confessed that it was his father who was affected the most.

“[Kasi] dala-dala ko po ‘yung kanyang pangalan na Abrenica. Hindi lang po ‘yung aking father kundi pati ‘yung buong angkan na Abrenica. Dahil matagal po nilang inalagaan ‘yung pangalan namin. At sila [Saludo] lang ang gumawa nito sa’min. Sila lang ang dumungis sa aming pangalan,” he lamented.

In the resolution signed by DOJ Prosecution Attorney Amanda Felipe, she contended that, “The complaint of acts of lasciviousness against Aljur is plainly an afterthought to save the besmirched reputation of Michelle.”

She added: “If it is true that Aljur inappropriately touched her in Puerto Galera, she should have immediately said something to Melrose, Jake or Rachel who were with her in the said place; or stayed away from Aljur while they were there. However, instead of doing those things, she did the exact opposite.

"Noteworthy is the fact that after their vacation in Puerto Galera, Michelle posted her pictures with Aljur on the Internet, indicating that she was proud of her encounter with the latter. It is contrary to normal human behavior for the victim of an alleged lascivious conduct to post her pictures with the person who victimized her on the Internet.”

The “Last Prince” star said that he and his fellow celebrities should be extra cautious when having encounters with other people.

“Sa mga kapwa ko artista, kilala ko po ‘yung mga artista na sobrang warm, sobrang bait. Next time, mag-ingat na rin. Lahat ng sobra is masama. May limitation na [dapat] next time,” he said.
