Richard Gutierrez feels relieved over the Department of Justice (DOJ)’s decision to dismiss the case filed against him by Lorayne Pardo, wife of his personal assistant Nomar, who died in a car accident with him behind the wheel last year.

“I’m just glad that everything is over. We can move on with our lives,” the actor told “Startalk.”

To celebrate all their triumphs—the dismissal of the “reckless imprudence resulting in homicide” case filed against Richard, his amicable settlement with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), and Ruffa’s granted custody for her kids—the Gutierrez family held a thanksgiving mass at the Imperial Palace on March 19.

The upcoming “Survivor Philippines” host also said he has forgiven Lorayne and added he is still willing to shoulder the educational finances of her children.

“Oo naman. Ever since naman, wala naman akong grudges towards anyone. I was actually willing to talk to everyone and now that the case is finally closed we are still willing na tumulong for the benefit of the kids. Hopefully we’ll be given a chance to talk. I’ll reach out to her,” he assured.
