Marikina promotes use of bicycle
The city government of Marikina will intensify its environmental campaign as it urged city residents to use bicycle as a friendly-transport system.
This was disclosed by Marikina Vice Mayor Dr. Marion Andres who also thanked private firms which offered their support to the city government to all programs related to environmental concern.
Vice Mayor Andres said Norman Labiana Business Development Specialist of My Health makers of Hi- Smart vitamins vowed to give free vitamins to children during environmental campaign program.
“We believe that clean environment is not enough we also have to maintain a healthy body," said Labiana.
Andres said the bicycle festival kicked off the environmental campaign last Saturday. The local government believed that the use of bicycle will not emit pollution unlike other means of transport system.
