Basilica of Our Lady of Piat showcases its newly renovated sanctuary

The newly renovated Sanctuary of the Miraculous Our Lady of Piat and the Altar inside the Basilica of Our Lady of Piat, in Piat, Cagayan, courtesy of its generous benefactors, the brothers Alexander and Caesar Wongchuking, the entire Wongchuking Family and the Wong Chu King Foundation Inc. (WCKFI).

Through the unwavering continuous support of the Wongchuking family and the Wong Chu King Foundation Inc. (WCKFI), through Alexander and Caesar Dy Wongchuking, the Basilica of Our Lady of Piat is proudly showcasing to its faithful devotees, and to the public, the newly completed renovation of its Sanctuary, which houses the centuries-old image of the Ever Miraculous Our Lady of the Visitation of Piat. 

Originally known as Our Lady of the Rosary, which was brought to the Philippines from Macao in 1604, the devotion to Our Lady of Piat has spread, and is continuously spreading locally and to the different parts of the world. Pilgrims from all walks of life have visited her Shrine in Cagayan, always praying before the revered image enshrined in the main altar of the Basilica. 

According to Rev. Father Fredel G. Agatep of the Basilica of Our Lady of Piat, the newly accomplished renovation of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Piat makes the Basilica of Our Lady of Piat more suitable and conducive to the worship of its faithful and devotees.
