PaengPH: 1,512 individuals evacuated in Imus, Cavite

IMUS CITY, Cavite – The local government unit evacuated 419 families or 1,512 individuals affected by "Paeng" on Saturday, Oct. 29.

In a Facebook post, the city government of Imus says the rescued residents took shelter in Tinabunan Elementary School, Cayetano Topacio Elementary School, Pasong Santol Annex, and Mandarin Homes II Covered Court.

Malagasang II-C Barangay Hall, Alapan II-B Barangay Hall, Bayan Luma IV Barangay Hall, and Buhay na Tubig Elementary School were also converted into evacuation centers.

The local government unit provided basic disaster supplies kits and hot meals to evacuees.

Nonstop rains brought ankle-deep to waist-deep floods in various areas, making some roads unpassable to vehicles.
