Actress Sunshine Dizon has reportedly tied the knot with her non-showbiz boyfriend, Tim Tan.

The civil wedding was said to have been held at the Clubhouse of Valle Verde in Pasig City last March 20. In attendance were a few of the actress' friends, most of whom are non-showbiz.

Showbiz columnist and soon to be host of TV 5’s “Juicy” and “Paparazzi” Cristy Fermin wrote about the matter which came out in her "Most Wanted" column in Bulgar last March 23.

Fermin reported that the groom wore a red long sleeved shirt while Sunshine was in a blue outfit, part of which exposes her shoulders.

The guests numbered less than 50, Fermin wrote.

Fermin, whose report on the wedding was based on an informant's account, opined that a church wedding will likely follow as soon as Sunshine’s dad arrives from the U.S. late this year or early next year.

Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online tried to verify this report by calling some of Sunshine’s known friends in the movie press.

One of them, writer Nitz Miralles, denied knowledge of the wedding.

Another writer John Fontanilla--who is very close to the actress--was utterly surprised with the query.

“Ha? Naku, hindi ko alam ‘yan,” he said promising to verify the report.

An hour later, he texted Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online this message: “Not in service ang phone ni Sunshine.”

Another source, who requested anonymity, divulged the following info on Tim:

He is a pilot. He met Sunshine through common friends. They were just on for a couple of months prior to the reported marriage.

Before Tim, Sunshine was linked to Jojo Manlongat.

Late last year, the actress was pulled out from the cast of "Tinik Sa Dibdib" ostensibly for “health reasons.” She was then rumored to have been pregnant and subsequently married to her then-boyfriend, who is said to be the brother of Tanya Garcia.

Sunshine doused the two speculations when she attended the 23rd Star Awards for TV where she won Best Single Performance By an Actress for “Obra Presents.”

"Hindi po ako nagpakasal, eh, di sana po ay mayaman na ako. Kasi kung mag-aasawa ako, sisiguraduhin ko na mayaman ang papakasalan ko," Sunshine said then.
