AFC: Kaya-Iloilo vs Lao Toyota

by Jonas Terrado Kaya-Iloilo looks to stay in the hunt for a berth in the ASEAN Zonal semifinals as it battles Lao Toyota in the AFC Cup at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City. The Copa Paulino Alcantara champions seek an all-important win in the 3 p.m. in order to keep pace with Group H leader PSM Makassar of Indonesia and Home United of Singapore. Iloilo is currently in third place with five points, three behind PSM and two below Home United. Kaya is eager to regain some ground in its continental campaign after a 2-1 loss to PSM Makassar last April 16 at home. But Saturday’s 3-0 romp of Green Archers United in the opener of the Philippine Premier League at the Rizal Memorial Stadium could give Kaya some needed momentum going into the match.
