STA.ROSA CITY, Laguna – A 52-year-old barangay tanod (village watchman) is now being hunted by police for allegedly stabbing a construction worker dead in Barangay Dita, here, last Sunday.

A sketchy police report said tanod Dominador Caratihan stabbed Danilo Monares at the height of a heated argument with the victim and his two companions in the Rotonda area in Barangay Dita around 4:40 a.m.

The report said Monares’ companions took him to the Cabuyao Community Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment for the wound in his abdomen.

Superintendent Rodney Ramirez, city police chief, ordered his men to arrest Caratihan who fled the scene and is now charged with homicide.
