Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. has launched the imageRUNNER ADVANCE Series, a new range of intelligent document imaging devices that blends hardware, software, and strategic services to help businesses advance in today’s demanding markets. This dynamic new series draws on the long heritage of Canon’s award-winning imageRUNNER product line for large-sized and medium-sized corporations.

The new ADVANCE series, a new generation Canon multifunctional device (MFD), is designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s users by enhancing work efficiency and security while helping manage and customize workflows for better operational performance.

The new imageRUNNER ADVANCE Series has been redesigned to simplify workflows and seamlessly integrate the device with nearly any work environment. This new series features a full color SVGA TFT control panel with an 8.4” x 10.4” multicolor screen for wide viewing angles. Its new “slide-and-tilt” to upright capability allows users to adjust the control panel to a comfortable and accessible position.

Users can also customize the interface by logging into their own account, then selecting the onscreen background, and reorganizing the onscreen buttons that best fit the way they need to work.

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE series has taken the revolutionary step to integrate the Office Open XML (OOXML) file format to its system. This new series enables users to simply scan documents then quickly convert them into editable files.

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE scans hard copies then converts a scanned image into the digital and editable OOXML format, which can be opened using Microsoft PowerPoint.

This enables users to edit the file and reuse graphs and pictures. This sophisticated new function eliminates the time-consuming process of manually recreating an entire PowerPoint file. In addition, Canon continues to partner with Adobe by integrating its world-renowned features into the new imageRUNNER ADVANCE Series. The new series supports True Adobe PDF and PDF Reader Extensions® formats, which can identify the style and format of scanned PDF documents, making them searchable and compatible with the Windows search operating system.

Users can also create mark-ups and add comments using sticky notes directly on the scanned document, thus eliminating the need of purchasing extra software.

The Optimized PDF for Web function further enhances productivity by significantly shrinking file size, boosting display speed, and saving bandwidth, thus reducing user frustration during the download process.
