No government position for Willie – Villar

DAVAO CITY – Considering the tremendous help that TV host Willie Revillame is giving presidential contender Senator Manny Villar, it couldn’t be helped but for people to wonder what government position the famous “Wowowee” host would get if the senator wins as president of the country in the May 2010 elections.
In a press conference held at the Royale Mandaya Hotel in Davao City prior to the Rockatropa show at the Tiongco Football Field, we asked the senator this, and he said Willie won’t get any. “In the first place, Willie is helping me as a friend, and he has not asked me anything in return. I feel very lucky that I am being supported by Willie and Manny Pacquiao.’’
The three Villar endorsers were criticized by leaders of the Catholic church on immorality issues and Willie defended himself, Manny Pacquiao and Dolphy on their image as “babaero” (womanizers). “What immorality can they charge me? Single ako, wala akong asawa. I date, may mga babae akong nakakasama, what’s wrong with that? Kung maraming nagmamahal sa ‘yo ibig sabihin mabuting tao ka.’’
Anyway, the Tiongco Football Field was full of enthusiastic and cheering Davaoeños even if it was raining just like last year. But the performers (led by Willie of course) and who included April Boy Regino, Randy Santiago, Bugoy, Andrew E. Ara Mina, John Estrada, and Manny Pacquiao who was accompanied in the guitar by composer Lito Camo, and the candidates (including Senator Miriam D. Santiago who was heavily applauded when she spoke in Visayan).

Mommy Dionisia endorses Imelda Papin for senator
They have become close friends ever since Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao said in an interview that Imelda Papin has always been her idol. This led them to meet in Las Vegas where they recorded a duet. And when Imelda came home to do a concert at the Aliw Theater, Mommy Dionisia was her special guest.
Expectedly, Mommy D has endorsed the senatorial candidacy of Imelda under KBL/Bangon Pilipinas with Bro. Eddie Villanueva as presidential contender.
The former vice governor in the province of Camarines Sur, who was awarded the Most Outstanding Vice Governor in the Philippines in 1999 and Outstanding Public Servant in 2001, is always greeted with adulating crowds wherever she goes these days.
Imelda’s track record in public service has been truly remarkable. She was able to build Integrated People’s Centers in every municipality in her province, school buildings in every municipality. She gave scholarship grants, and brought in the first mobile medical clinic (mini-hospital with bed) and mobile dental clinic from Queensland, Australia.
