Dingdong-Marian tandem sizzles in ‘You To Me Are Everything’
Now that they’re very open with their romantic relationship, expect the tandem of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera to reach an even higher level of excitement especially for their fans. Now that the truth has set them free so to speak (no more hiding, no more denying their real status), their love team will surely sizzle on the big screen via their forthcoming movie “You To Me Are Everything,” produced by GMA films and Regal Entertainment, and directed by Mark A. Reyes.
The lovebirds who were last paired together in a project last year yet are doing a romantic-comedy for the first time, and aside from re-capturing the undeniably perfect chemistry between Dingdong and Marian, the movie features them in roles so different from the characters they played in their highly rating telenovelas “Marimar,” “Dyesebel,” and their first movie together “One True Love.”
In “You To Me Are Everything,” Dingdong and Marian, definitely the biggest love team in GMA Network, will acquaint their fans with the funnier and lighter side of their tandem. Marian plays Iska, a cheerful Igorot from the mountains, and Dingdong is Raphael, son of a wealthy politician. But by some sad turn of events, Iska will find herself inheriting millions while Raphael will find himself penniless after his father is convicted for corruption.
They’re super excited about this movie, they said, and they enjoyed filming in the mountains, especially in the strawberry farm “kasi mahilig si Marian sa strawberry,” Dingdong (who’s E! Online’s 3rd Sexiest Man in the World) said.
Marian said: “May bago lagi sa kanya… something special… habang tumatagal lalo ako naguguapuhan sa kanya…” to which Dingdong replied that he’s flattered “especially when people close to me say I’m handsome.” He also said that the level of caring that he has for Marian is “10 times na ngayon…”
The longest time that they were away from each other was seven days, and it was torture for both of them. Dingdong said “I was in Cebu, hindi nagkita ng isang linggo. Ang hirap pala…”

Your Song reunites ‘Gimik’ stars
Five of the original cast members of the well-followed but now defunct Saturday series on ABS-CBN entitled “Gimik” will reunite via Your Song presents “Gimik 2010” which will happen on Sunday, April 25 after “ASAP XV.” The five original “Gimik” stars who’re set for a grand reunion are Judy Ann Santos, Diether Ocampo, Bojo Molina, G Toengi and Mylene Dizon.
The concept of the reunion was hatched last year during a get-together of the original “Gimik” cast who through a popular social networking site was able to keep in touch with each other. “Gimik” was directed by Laurenti Dyogi and was aired for nearly three years on ABS-CBN. Star Cinema came up with “Gimik The Reunion” movie two months after the show went off the air.
In “Gimik 2010,” directed by Erick Salud, a new story of friendship blooms as the original characters carry on their lives as friends. The new batch will be shaped by fresh faces on TV as they prove themselves worthy of stardom: Jessy Mendiola, Lance Christopher, Franco Daza, Kazuo Nawa, Jaco Benin, Kenji Shirakawa, Janeena Chan, Hanna Flores, Daniel Padilla, Albie Casino, Mara Montes and Marlan Flores.
Jessy, like Franco and Lance, is excited about this big break given her by the network. When Jessy was 14 (she’s now 17), she loved to go to auditions and one time someone recommend her to Johnny Manahan who immediately took her under Star Magic. Jessy has appeared in some Kapamilya shows like “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo.” Jessy is a 4th year high school student at Angelicum under the home study system.
Franco, on the other hand, started as a commercial model (Bench) like his cousin Isabel Daza who was actually instrumental in his joining showbiz. Interestingly, Franco who grew up in the US and Vancouver, Canada originally wanted to be a US Navy pilot, or a cop but then he changed his mind. He wanted more to be a firefighter so he enrolled to be one. He would have finished the two-year course (he was just short of one semester) when showbiz beckoned. And now acting. Franco is managed by a cousin, Pat-P Daza.
