Reacting to a widely circulated photo of Sarah Geronimo wearing yellow and doing the “L” sign—a symbol usually associated with the Liberal Party—Viva big boss Vic del Rosario clarified that the pop star is still a supporter of the Nacionalista Party (NP), specifically VP wannabe Loren Legarda.

In a statement, Del Rosario alleged that the photo was altered and surmised that it was probably meant to besmirch the pop star.

Seemingly supporting this claim is ABS-CBN reporter Marie Lozano who just updated her Twitter account posting, "Viva Big Boss Vic Del Rosario suspects picture of Sarah G. has been photo edited. Sarah still supports Villar-Loren."

It was only last month that Legarda and Geronimo launched their partnership. At a press conference held last March 29, Geronimo belied rumors that she was paid a hefty sum to endorse Legarda's candidacy. According to Geronimo she simply “believes” in the Senator.

The NP, meanwhile, said it tapped Geronimo due to her seeming “patience and hard work” which allowed for her fruitful career—a sensibility that, they said, echoed the ethos of the party.
