"Agua Bendita” star Andi Eigenmann (real name: Andrea Nicole Guck Eigenmann) signed up recently with Regal Entertainment for a three-picture deal. This, after “Agua Bendita,” one of ABS-CBN’s top-rating primetime programs, swept the country by storm by drowning its competitors in TV ratings last month, according to global media specialist Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) with its average rating of 39.6 percent.

Mother Lily lost no time in offering Andi a three-picture contract, confident that actress (daughter of Mark Gil and Jaclyn Jose, both award-winning actors) will become the next big star to watch out for since she has what it takes to become big in the business.

According to Regal producer Roselle Monteverde-Teo, Andi’s projects for the film company include the comedy vehicle where the young actress will star with Eugene Domingo and John Lapus. Andi will also be given an episode in the horror trilogy “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” intended for the Metro Manila Film Festival this December.

Andi will also star in the remake of Joey Gosiengfiao’s “Temptation Island,” with director-scriptwriter Chris Martinez at the helm. However, ABS-CBN management has yet to give its nod to make the young actress do a sexy role on the big screen.

Mar Roxas, another Regal Baby

Another new Regal Baby, vice-presidential candidate Mar Roxas, was recently presented to the entertainment press by Mother Lily. It was actually the second gathering that Mother Lily has hosted for him at the Imperial Palace Suites.

The lady producer said that in her own surveys “among people from all walks of life – security guards in the malls, the palengke vendors, the jeepney drivers, school teachers, nurses, doctors, nuns and priests and many other professionals, showbiz stars and even the poor and the elite in society – all of them are pledging their support to Mar. Even my maids at home, my drivers, the workers in my construction sites, my takilyeras in the theaters and many of my office staff, they are all going for the Noynoy-Mar tandem,” she said in her welcome speech.

Mother Lily added: “I am amazed at how many people believe in Mar that they will trust him with their votes this coming May 10 elections. But it’s not totally surprising. In Mar’s 17-year career in politics, he has proven his capacity to lead and help the people. He carries the legacy of his lolo, former President Manuel Roxas and his father, former Senator Gerry Roxas.’’
