Genuino seeks unity in Los Baños politics

Bigkis Pinoy Party (BPP) mayoral bet Anthony ‘Ton’ Genuino in Los Baños, Laguna called for unity among the constituency and all candidates, leaders and supporters to adhere to a ‘peaceful, clean and honest elections’ as agreed in the covenant by candidates.

Genuino, son of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation chairman Efraim C. Genuino, said he is running for mayor of Los Baños on his own, his decision solely reached by him to serve the people of Los Baños, to offer his services to the needy and neglected.

Genuino belongs to the family that runs Trace College in Barangay Batong Malaki, Los Baños that helps Los Baños youth, and even adults acquire the global requirements in information technology.

The young Genuino, together with his running mate Josephine Sumangil and their candidates for councilors also advocate for effective programs for community livelihood, sports development, peace and order, ‘bayanihan at kapatiran,’ and the relieving of Filipino culture and tradition.

“Napakaraming mga kabataan at ganoon din ang mga may edad na may angking talino at kakayahan sa Los Baños, ang kailangan lamang ay pagkakataon. Hindi dapat aksayahin ang oras naten sa walang kabuluhang bagay, dapat ay iukol ito sa mga bagay na produktibo sa indibidwal at kanyang bayan”, Genuino told the Manila Bulletin in an interview.

Genuino thanked Barangay Chairman Nilo Lapiz of Barangay Batong Malaki for certifying that he (Genuino) is a legitimate and bonafide resident of the barangay, a proof that he resides and lives in Los Baños. His residence is inside the Trace College compound in Barangay Batong Malaki.
