Myrus to perform with international artists in a big concert at MOA

It’s indeed a feat for Viva recording artist Myrus Ramirez to be performing with nine international artists in a massive concert to be held tonight at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.

Billed as the “Sentimental Prince of Philippine Music,” Myrus will share the stage with nine global hitmakers in the show entitled “Then & Now: Massive Music Festival 2010.” The nine international artists are JoJo, Diana King, SWV, P.M. Dawn, V Factory, Frankie J, Baby Bash, Ali-4, and TQ.

The 20-year-old crooner was given the nod by execs of Divan Media Group, the concert producers, to perform in the show after watching clips from his sold-out debut concert “The Sentimental Prince: A Tribute to Sentimental Original Pilipino Music” held last February at the Teatrino in Greenhills.

They were particularly awed when Myrus held his own alongside Regine Velasquez their unrehearsed duet of “Forever,” a love song that the Asia’s Songbird originally sang with Concert King Martin Nievera.

His inclusion in “Then and Now: Massive Music Festival 2010” came a few weeks after Viva group of companies’ big boss Vic del Rosario declared that Myrus is “the next big thing in Philippine music.”

Myrus’ debut album “Love Cycle” and its repackaged version reached gold status in December 2009 and is currently moving closer to achieving the platinum status.

By the way, tickets to the “Then and Now…” concert are available at all TicketNet and TicketWorld outlets.

Double victory for League of Intrigues

It calls for a celebration indeed for the League of Intrigues, composed of the combined forces of “Startalk” and “Showbiz Central” as both shows have been garnering high ratings lately. Based on the data of AGB Nielsen, among viewer-rich Mega Manila last week of April, “Startalk TX” got an average audience share of 11.2%, which was 4.3% higher than the competing showbiz talk show.

“Startalk” has been on the air for the last 14 years, remaining on the top of its game, going from strength to strength through fearless delivery of the latest entertainment news and by offering an engaging format that features the talk show hosts at their best.

On the show, Lolit Solis, who’s also a talent manager, never fails to shock audiences with her off-the-cuff comments.

And now that “Startalk” has leveled up to “Startalk TX,” the Fab Four and the rest of the team are three times (TX) more aggressive at getting the hottest showbiz news.

At “Showbiz Central,” viewers can now do the talking, with Opinion Central as it officially names the viewers as the “other hosts” of the show.

And now, the League of Intrigues – “Startalk TX” and “Showbiz Central” – will also make it possible for hosts of both shows to crossover as guest hosts, definitely doubling the excitement, the credibility and the fun!

“Showbiz Central,” by the way, is hosted by Raymond Gutierrez, John Lapus, Pia Guanio, Rufa Mae Quinto and Mo Twister.
