Sutherland Global Services, world’s leading provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) and technology-enabled services and the fastest growing BPO firm in the Philippines, mulls the addition of two new sites in the country on back of its expanding reach and robust growth of its mostly Fortune 1000 global clients.

Dilip Vellodi, chairman and CEO of Sutherland Global Services, told Manila Bulletin during a teleconference call that the planned two new campuses or sites would be located in Metro Manila and the other in a Manila suburb.

Vellodi has refused to divulge the details of the new campuses, but said the company will continue investing in the Philippines, one of Sutherland’s biggest operations with over 10,000 employees in a span of 5 years. Sutherland has six campuses in the country namely, Taguig, Makati, Clark, Tarlac, Camarines Sur, and Davao offering an integrated set of front and back office services that support the entire customer lifecycle. “The Philippines will continue to be a beneficiary of our growth,” Vellodi said.

Vellodi cited the Philippines for its huge pool of qualified talent, cost efficiency and the commitment of the government to provide necessary infrastructure and business-friendly environment as main factors that allow BPO firms to grow here.

“We are very pleased with the productivity of our operations in the Philippines and the numbers speak for themselves,” he said.

Vellodi expects to maintain its steady growth of over 20 percent this year adding that the company may breach the $500-million revenue mark this year.

The newly acquired BPO firm Adventity Global Services is expected to contribute $50 million in revenues this year.

Adventity is the first acquisition of Sutherland, which has been growing organically for the past 24 years. Vellodi said that the acquisition of Adventity, with over 2,500 employees and operations in New York & Houston in the United States, Mumbai & Chennai in India and Dubai in the U.A.E., would be a strategic addition to its portfolio.

Adventity is a premier provider of business & financial research and analytical services. They focus on providing platform-based BPO services to banks and financial services companies and the airline and travel Industry.

Vellodi further said that the global BPO industry is expected to grow more robust this year as decision making among companies to outsource their non-core operations are picking up from a slowdown last year as the global economy recovers from the financial crisis last year.
