Missing six-year-old girl found dead, buried on river bank in Laguna

MAJAYJAY, Laguna â€“ The body of a six-year-old girl reported missing on Monday, July 24, was found buried on a river bank in Barangay San Roque here on Tuesday afternoon, July 25. Police identified the victim as Kate Trixie Mijares. Mijares was reported missing to the barangay and a search operation was immediately launched. Her body was located in the area after a freshly dug pit covered with banana leaves and a protruding foot was discovered. Barangay officials reported their grim discovery to the police.
