Jessica Rodriguez asks sister to be her surrogate
Wanting to have another child, ertswhile actress and talent manager Jessica Rodriguez had asked her sister to be the surrogate mom of her next baby.
“I’m getting my sister to come here para siya ‘yung maging surrogate mother ko. So, inaayos ko ‘yung papers niya para makapunta siya dito. Actually, merong pinapasa sa aking surrogate mother pero mas comfortable ako na sister ko ‘yung magdala ng baby namin. So, ‘yun, excited ako,” Rodriguez shared on “Showbiz Central,” June 6.
Rodriguez had a difficult time giving birth to her daughter, Breanna, six years ago.
“Nag-fifty-fifty ako doon so they had to take out my uterus. But meron pa akong isang ovary so may egg cell pa ako. So ‘yung eggs ko would be transferred to a different person [para] siya ‘yung magdadala ng baby namin,” Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez said her husband, David Bunevacz, wants to have another bundle of joy.
“Even if David had adopted the two kids, kahit papaano gusto pa niya ng lalaki. Siyempre, parang, as you grow older... parang wala na si Haika, si Grant two years na lang magka-college na rin so ang matitira na lang sa amin si Breanna. Gusto naming magkaroon ng siguro isa pa. Pero usually, ‘pag surrogate mother, twins ‘yan.”
What complicates things is Jessica's body clock, which, as they say, is ticking fast. She has to rush things up to realize David's wish.
“Kailangan bilisan ko na, kailangang this year na kasi ilang taon na ako, forty years old na ako. Until 40 yata puwede pa, kaya I have to do this this year. ‘Pag next year medyo mahihirapan na ako.”
This year marks Rodriguez and Bunevacz’s 10th anniversary as a couple and they’re celebrating it with a renewal of marriage vows.
“Parang binigyan ulit ako ng engagement ring. Nag-propose uli siya. ‘Yun nga, sabi niya, ‘I wanna get married again. Le’ts renew our vows’,” Rodriguez shared.
Looking back, Rodriguez cannot help but be amazed at how they were able to stick with each other through thick and thin, in sickness and in health.
“That ten years, ang daming nangyari, ‘di ba? Ang daming trials, and daming mga nasaktan, alam mo ‘yon. Nasaktan kami nang todo. Nag-iba kami ng lugar. So, I think it would be more meaningful for us ‘yung pag-renew ng wedding vows namin kasi it’s another chapter in your life. It’s like, ‘Wow, we survived the whole ten years!’”
