Sandara Park close to 'Boys over Flowers' star Ku Hye Sun
2NE1 member and "Star Circle Quest" winner Sandara Park and “Boys over Flowers” star Ku Hye Sun have been close friends way before the former hit it big in the South Korean music scene.
This was revealed when Sandara appeared on KBS talk show “Win Win” recently where Ku was the main guest.
“We first met when we were 20 but I was in the Philippines for two years so we met on and off. It's been a while since we last met,” KBS quoted Park as saying.
Hye Sun recalls Sandara as being a top star in the Philippines back then. She describes Sandara as the “most innocent person I know”.
Sandara showed a picture of the two of them when they were 20 years old as well as an email Ku sent to her when she was in the Philippines. In the email, Hye Sun asked Sandara to come back to Korea since she was “dying of boredom.”
Ku launched her career in South Korea in 2003, starting with a commercial and then starred in “Drama City” in 2004. From there, she built her career. She rose to stardom when she played Geum Jandi in the hit drama series “Boys over Flowers” last year.
She then branched out to become a movie director, illustrator, writer and composer.
Asked if she would act in a film or drama series that will be directed by Ku, Sandara readily agreed. She added that she wants hunk actor Kang Dongwon to be cast as the male lead.
The two hope they would meet more often despite their busy schedule.
“Win Win” is hosted by Kim Seung Woo, Girls Generation leader Taeyeon, 2PM’s Wooyoung, comedian Kim Shin Young and Choi Hwajung.
