She’s been christened the recent Box Office Queen, but judging from the intrigues surrounding her these days, she could also very well be called the Love Triangle Queen.

On the June 13 episode of “The Buzz,” Bea Alonzo squared off with host and friend Kris Aquino to answer the most persistent rumors about her and several ladies linked with men who have been paired off with her.

First up was the issue about her, Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz.  Apparently, people have been making a mountain out of the molehill that the three are in a love-team triangle of sorts.  As Kris had put it, the issue was that Sarah’s love team with Llyody has pretty much stolen the thunder off Bea’s own love tandem with the male star.

Kaibigan ko si John lloyd, I’m happy for him. Parang feeling ko ‘yung achievements niya somehow, kahati ako dun. So natutuwa ako pag ganun. Tsaka babalik naman siya sa akin.  Tapos babalik uli siya kay Sarah. Pabalik-balik lang siya,” she said.

When asked if she’s ever had to share someone special with another woman, or had been the aggrieved party in such a triangle, Bea replied tentatively, “Hindi ko alam kung officially nakahati ko o nakihati ako… Ang hirap naman nito. Wala na lang…”

“Inumpisahan mo na eh,” Kris retorted.

Bea then said, “Paano ko ba e-exitan itong question na to… Wala…. Wala…”

And Kris responded with, “Okay ‘di wag. Kasi maganda ka, pagbibigyan kita.”

Bea was then grilled about her supposed third wheel role in the Erich Gonzales-Enchong Dee tandem.

“Dun sa mga supporters ni Erich at saka ni Enchong, wala silang dapat ikabahala kasi si Enchong is my good friend,” she explained. “Hindi mahirap na maka-gaanan ng loob. Pareho kami ng handler sa Star Magic,” she said, saying this was one reason she had bonded with the athlete-actor.

And then came the topic of her rumored spat with her good friend Shaina Magdayao. Bea and Shaina was said to be almost like sisters, but had recently undergone a rough patch in their friendship. And because John Lloyd’s name, once again, figured between the two girls—Lloydy and Shaina are rumored to be a couple, but the two are still mum about their real score—Bea blurted out, “Lagi na lang kasali si John Lloyd sa tanong!”

Whereas John Lloyd already had to defend himself as an innocent party in the supposed spat between the two, Bea now had to clarify the issue further.

Talking about Shaina, Bea said, “In the first place, never kaming nag-away. Never kaming nagkaroon ng confrontation. Although siyempre sa kahit na anong friendship, siyempre nagkakaroon kayo ng stage ng hindi pagkakaintindihan, may hindi napag-uusapan.”

But she clarified that this minor glitch in their friendship had come before any issue was raised.  “Even before the whole issue, wala talaga. Ngayon, dahil… siguro blessing in disguise ‘yung issue with John Lloyd… Dahil doon, mas lalo kaming na-push to fix it. Kasi parang [sa] lahat ng tao, napapasama siya [Shaina]. Siyempre ayaw ko rin naman ng ganoon. At kahit pagbali-baligtarin mo man ‘yung mundo, ang hirap makakita ng totoong kaibigan,” she said of Shaina.

She also pointed out that she has been in the business for nine years, and had been friends with Shaina since the start. “Gusto ko rin na maayos. So okay na okay kami ngayon.”

Bea is, of course, excited about her upcoming ABS-CBN series, “Magkaribal,” which pits her against the diva herself, Gretchen ‘La Greta’ Barretto. In the same interview, Bea revealed that she had finally gotten used to working alongside Gretchen—who plays her sister.

Bea’s role, of course, was supposed to be for Gretchen’s own sister, Claudine, but the latter stunned everyone when she left ABS-CBN to sign up with GMA right before the production for the series began.

“Nung una. Ngayon hindi na,” Bea said, when asked if she had been intimidated with Gretchen.

She told Kris how she finally got over the initial reaction to her co-star. “Unti-unti. Parang process din siya eh. Every taping day, nawawala… nagiging, parang isa na lang siya sa cast. Nakakatuwa rin, kaya napapadali kasi siya rin, nagri-reach out siya sa aming lahat.

"Because I think she knows naman na intimidated kaming lahat sa kanya. Just her presence, talagang, wow si Gretchen Barretto ‘to. Tapos pumupunta kami sa bus niya, ‘yung mga ganun. So hindi na ako ganon ka intimidated sa kanya.”

In fact, in a previous report on “E Live” on June 12, Bea reportedly made Gretchen cry on the set of “Magkaribal.” But of course, this was only for a scene Gretchen was shooting. La Greta apparently had asked Bea to motivate her for her own scene, a technique the two had been learning about in their workshops.

According to Gretchen, Bea only had to mention one word to her and she already began crying. And when Gretchen cried, so did Bea. Indeed, even through all the tears, they seem to be getting along very well.

Bea may be back to shedding tears on TV, but in real life, she’s quite happy. In fact, Kris could not contain herself from commenting on how happy she looked.

“Nag-iba ka, magaan ang aura, nagti-twinkle mata mo… gumanda ka,” the host told Bea.

“Hindi… siguro kasi maraming blessings,” she replied. “Naa-appreciate ko lalo. Kasi dati ‘pag sunod-sunod ‘yung projects, feeling mo parang normal lang. Pero kapag matagal… kasi after a year palang nasundan yung ‘Betty [La Fea’], so ‘pag matagal pala ‘yung blangko, parang mas naa-appreciate mo ‘yung meron kang bagong show.”
