Members of the Parañaque Consumer Welfare Office (CWO) and Economic Enterprise Management Division (EEMD) inspected 27 rice stalls in four big public markets in the city to ensure their compliance with President Marcos' Executive Oder No. 39 or the “Imposition of Mandated Price Ceiling on Rice”.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said the members of the CWO and EEMD also posted stickers indicating the price limit under the EO -- P41.00 per kilo for regular-milled rice and P45.00 a kilo for well-milled rice.
Olivarez said the team visited the four big public markets in the city located in Baclaran, La Huerta, BFCiti Fram and Bicutan to inform rice sellers about the start of imposition of the President's EO.
