Sheryl Cruz moves on after third party controversy

Actress Sheryl Cruz said she has forgiven those who involved her in the break-up of a non-showbiz couple from Bacolod.
Quoting one of Jesus’ Seven Last Words, she told “Startalk” on June 19: “Lord, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.”
The veteran actress was recently embroiled in a third party controversy when a certain Crix Ledesma from Bacolod alleged that Cruz was the reason that her “husband” (as what she had called him) Charles Ea left her.
For Cruz, this issue has “already passed.”
“For whatever reason, si Lord na lang ang nakakaalam kung bakit nangyari ‘yon. Basta malinis ang konsensya ko. Sa akin, as it is, I already got out of a very complicated situation and I don’t want to complicate my life anymore,” she said.
Charles, through an email shown on the June 5 “Startalk” episode, had earlier apologized to Cruz for dragging her name into the “mess,” saying that “it's not right to put the blame on anyone for the break-up.”
Prior to Cruz’s involvement on the issue, the rent-a-car businessman admitted that “things [are] already going downhill for me and Crix.”
Although he and Ledesma have a kid, Charles clarified that they are not married.
The singer-actress maintained during the showbiz talk show’s May 29 episode that she is just friends with Charles and that she is not dating anyone “right now.”
“If I ever had any conversation with her (Ledesma) ex, it was purely as friends, nothing more. Besides, I don't want to complicate my life just yet. He is single with a kid with Crix. They are not married. He is a good person and his family are respected people in Bacolod," her email on the show read.
Cruz deemed that Ledesma’s “coming out” was a move to ruin her reputation. She also said that the non-showbiz woman had been harassing her through text messages.
“I have proof that she is harassing me, as I've always kept her text messages and never did I make a response to her,” she said.
Apart from this brouhaha, Cruz has also recently divorced her husband of 12 years, Norman Bustos. It was an out-of-court process, she said, as it was “an amicable settlement.” Their daughter, Ashley, is living with her.
Albeit she’s “very sad that it didn’t work for us,” Cruz said she’s “glad that we are [still] friends. [And] we lasted for 12 years… who can do that?”
