Shaina Magdayao is happy that her new beau John Lloyd Cruz has finally confirmed their relationship to the public.

While Lloydy said he did not inform her about his plans to confirm their long-speculated romance on “The Buzz” last June 20, the young actress is grateful that he made a stand.

“Thank you for the love and appreciation, sa honesty na pinakita ni Idan (Lloydy’s nickname)…”

“Nakakatuwa to know that people are also happy for us… nakakatuwa na nakikita nila yung happiness namin,” Shaina said in a text message to “The Buzz” writer Darla Sauler after the airing of Lloydy’s interview. The message was posted on Darla’s website on the same night.

The “Rubi” star enthused about receiving good karma when spreading positivity and happiness.

“Sa mundo nga talaga natin, if you give positivity and show happiness, ibabalik din naman nga talaga sa'yo. Maybe not right away, pero He never forgets... In His time," Shaina said.

The actress' sister, Vina Morales is likewise happy over Lloydy’s tell-all, knowing that “’di naman talaga siya vocal sa mga past relationships niya,” she said in a text message shown on “TV Patrol World” on June 21.

The Ultimate Performer related that she’s getting-to-know Shaina's second boyfriend (after John Prats, with whom Shaina went steady for three years).

“Nakikilala ko na rin siya unti-unti kapag nakakasama namin siya sa family gatherings. Mabait sya [and] I’m happy for both of them,” Vina said.

It took a while before John Lloyd and Shaina revealed the real score between them. Despite rumors of getting drunk together, of checking in a hotel during “ASAP XV”’s Boracay special, and of being see together in a bike shop in The Fort and in Singapore, the controversial new pair have steadfastly kept their silence.

The one-fourth Kanto Boy said he had to “come out and say something” because other people have either been dragged into the issue or have become affected by malicious reports relating to him and Shaina.
