A residential area in Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City was hit by a fire before dawn Sunday.

SFO2 Fortunato Alde, arson investigator of the QC Fire Department (QCFD) reported that the fire started at 3:12 a.m. inside one of the houses in a compound near the Executive Village in Barangay Talipapa, QC.

Initial investigation showed that before the fire, residents of the area saw smoke billowing from one of the houses and decided to alarm their neighbors.

Only minutes after it started, the flames quickly spread to adjacent house, reaching third alarm.

Firefighters were able to respond to the scene and put the fire out at 4 am. They had a hard time doing so because of the narrow pathways.

During their firefighting efforts, one of the firefighters suffered a minor cut on the head after being hit by a debris.
