On Friday, July 2, expect great music to fill the Bonifacio High Street grounds as premier vocal group The CompanY headlines the celebrations together with acoustic artists Princess Velasco and Aries Sales for the grand launch of Avida Towers Global City by Avida Land Corp.

Guests can look forward to great new and other favorites from The CompanY as the group has just launched a new album titled “Lighthearted” which features a roster of today’s hits but in special arrangements.

Known as the acoustic princess, platinum record artist Princess Velasco has been making waves among acoustic music aficionados as proven by her hit album “Addicted to Acoustic” featuring the hit singles “Single Ladies,” “I’m Yours” and more.

Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Aries Sales is Davao City’s latest talent export to Manila. Gifted with exceptional vocal and acoustic skills, Sales is expected to do the acoustic music circuit quite well and follow the footsteps of other big name acoustic acts.

The performances will cap-off the day-long celebration to mark the official start of something new and big in one of the country’s most coveted address.

“This event will surely give our guests a glimpse of how living in our community puts them within easy reach of the best that BGC has to offer,” says Tess Tatco, Avida Marketing Manager.

The celebrations will start as early as 11 a.m. Guests who come in at this time will be greeted with a morning treat, as a mini bar will offer great and flavorful cups of coffee. Children, meanwhile, will be given red balloons.

One of the launch’s highlights is the passion wall where guests can leave messages or wishes about their own personal passions. Some of the best and interesting messages will be picked and entitle the author to special gifts.

Avida Towers Global City is one of the latest high-rises that Avida is offering. Other projects in its condominium line are located in Makati, Sucat, Alabang, San Lazaro, New Manila, and Cebu.

‘Biyaheng Bulilit’ explores the country

“Biyaheng Bulilit” is a unique travel magazine show that features breathtaking scenic spots in the Philippines in the eyes of two Filipino nationals who love the country and an inquisitive Filipino child who is eager to learn about her motherland!

The Filipino child is Cha-cha, just five years old, a precocious kid whose face has become familiar because of her adorable appearances on TV shows like ABS-CBN’s “Goin’ Bulilit.”

The two Japanese nationals are Yachang and Dr. Nishi.

Yachang has chosen to stay in the Philippines and has since been appearing on several movies, TV commercials and soap operas.

Dr. Nishi, a renowned acupuncture specialist, has long been fascinated by the beauty of the Philippines and a frequent visitor.

Yachang revealed that when he first came to the Philippines, he fell in love with a Filipina but it did not materialize. But that did not stop him, and he finally got married to another Filipina.

“I want more Japanese to come and visit the Philippines,” Yachang explained one reason they are producing “Biyaheng Bulilit.”

The amazing albeit different kind of friendship among these three people of varying ages, backgrounds and nationalities form the basis for the new TV show which airs every Saturday, from 9-9:30 a.m. on Studio 23.
