Rain showers, thunderstorms to prevail across PH due to trough of LPA, 'habagat'
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) which was observed at 1,515 kilometers East of Extreme Northern Luzon continues to affect Mindanao and Eastern Visayas.

Weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers will be experienced in the said areas due to the trough of the LPA.
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon or "habagat" still affects Palawan bringing in scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, PAGASA said.
PAGASA added that in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of localized thunderstorms will be experienced.
The state-run weather bureau also warned against flash floods and landslides during moderate to heavy rains in high-risk areas.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather with chances of localized thunderstorms will be experienced in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon on Sept. 27 based on PAGASA’s forecast. (Lizst Torres Abello)
