Actress Judy Ann Santos defended her "Hating Kapatid" co-star Sarah Geronimo from rumors that the latter caused delays in their first movie.

“Ako ang dahilan kung bakit na-delay ‘yung shoot kasi ten hours lang ako puwedeng mag-shoot everyday dahil para hindi rin masyadong stressful,” Judy Ann explained on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” June 30.

"Hating Kapatid," according to the grapevine, only had a few shooting days to go when it was because Juday and her husband Ryan Agoncillo took a month’s trip to the US with their daughter Yohan.

Another issue, which Juday answered, was her exclusion in the Marilou Diaz-Abaya film “Penafrancia.” Although Juday was Marilou's first choice to play a major part in the movie, the actress felt a director always has the prerogative when it comes to making such decisions.

“Sa pagkakaalam ko may mga kinakausap na rin yata si direk Marilou na ibang artista to do the movie. Ako naman, basta sa ikabubuti ng pelikula [ay] okay lang,” she said.

Juday reiterated that she was not hurt by Marilou’s decision to exclude her in the cast.

“Hindi, nagkataon lang na pagdating namin [from the States ay] nagkaroon na ng pagbabago. Sinabi sa amin na, para matapos at para maipalabas ‘yung Penafrancia celebration, kailangan na nila magpalit ng stars.

"I respect kung anuman ang desisyon ni direk Marilou. It’s her story. Actually, it’s a privilege to work with her for five shooting days and doing workshops with her. Malaking bagay na iyon.”

The would-be-mom also talked about her US trip recently.

“Maayos naman. Nag-Disyneland si Yohan. Dinala din namin siya sa Universal. Basically this trip is for Yohan. As much as possible we spend more time with her now kasi may darating na bagong baby.”

And like any other expectant mom, Judy is thrilled no end about the baby they are expecting.

“Finally, nararamdaman ko na siyang gumalaw sa loob ng tiyan ko. Mas malikot na siya ngayon, mas nagpaparamdam na siyang madalas ngayon. Nakakatuwa, nakaka-amaze na wow may tao nga sa loob ng tiyan ko. Totoo na talaga,” she said.
