Leybe bares shake-up in city hall
ANTIPOLO CITY – Non-performing city hall employees, especially those occupying sensitive positions can expect to be replaced and given different assignments, a candid Mayor Danilo Leybe said Thursday.
Leybe told the Manila Bulletin that included in his first order of business is an organizational shake-up that will affect 20 percent of the local government work force, comprising of some heads of departments and divisions.
Apart from that, some 60 percent of city hall employees who are co-terminus with the last administration will have to find new jobs, he said.
The mayor clarified that those comprising the 60 percent are casual employees although some of them, who are heads of some offices, are co-terminus with the elected officials under whom they serve the public.
As for the police force, Leybe said that Superintendent Dioscoro Maata will be retained as the chief of police.
