Sarah Geronimo gives curious reactions on John Lloyd Cruz’s ‘tell-all’

It seems there will be more questions than answers on what really went on between John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo.
The Pop Princess and reigning Box-Office Queen gave curious reactions when queried about her former leading man’s much-talked about tell-all on “The Buzz” few weeks ago. In his interview, Lloydy said he did not ask Sarah to wait for him for five years.
“Wala naman pong gan’on talaga,” was the singer-actress lukewarm affirmation during a recent interview with Bulletin Entertainment and other members of the press.
While Lloydy and director Cathy Garcia-Molina had earlier confirmed a follow-up to their movies “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life,” Sarah halfheartedly said, “Wala pa pong napagu-usapan with my manager about it (movie).”
Asked to describe her relationship then and now with Lloydy, the Kapamilya star gave a totally irrelevant answer (after a long pause and some chuckle):
“Si John Lloyd napakagaling na artista. Talagang ‘yung mga kilig-kilig na eksena… na kailangang mag-ano… talagang kikiligin ka talaga sa taong ‘yon kasi napaka-charming niya.”
The press went on to probe Sarah about where she thinks the rumors---saying that she got hurt when Lloydy allegedly led her on and made her wait---came from. She simply laughed.
But were they more than friends? Sarah joked, “Please define.”
She continued: “Wala naman po. Sadyang ano lang, ganyan ang buhay. First time ko po kasi talagang makatrabaho si John Lloyd… at, ‘yun na ‘yun. Ang init na po!”
They were not “more than friends, less than lovers,” either, according to her.
“Hindi, hindi. Wala, wala pong ganun. Promise,” Sarah stressed.
No one made her wait, but did she ask anyone to wait for her?
“Wala po,” the young performer quipped, chuckling,
Meanwhile, Sarah denied reports that she and John Prats fell for each other during her recent “Record Breaker” US tour, where the latter was one of her guests. (Connect the dots: John happens to be the ex-boyfriend of Shaina Magdayao, who is the current girlfriend of John Lloyd, to whom Sarah is also being linked.)
“Ano ba ‘yun! Mabuting kaibigan kaming lahat,” she said.
Sarah related that thanks to the tour, their negative first impressions of each other vanished.
“Pareho kami ni Kuya Erik [Santos] na ang impression namin masungit siya, suplado. Si John Prats ang tingin niya sa’min ni Erik suplado, suplada din, so naiba… nawala ‘yung impression na ‘yun.”
If her friendship with John has just begun, it’s the opposite with Luis Manzano, her leading man in the movie, “Hating Kapatid.”
Sarah said she has grown close with the actor-host because “bago pa naman po namin gawin ‘tong movie, nakakapag-usap na kami. May foundation na rin.”
Directed by Wenn Deramas, “Hating Kapatid” marks the highly-anticipated team-up of Sarah and Judy Ann Santos. They play as sisters Cecil and Rica, respectively, whose bond gets tested due to the latter’s overprotective, maternal nature which goes against the former’s yearning to love and be loved by other people.
