Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Secretary Teresita Q. Deles said on Friday that they are now working for the formation of a new peace process panel that will continue the peace talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Communist Party of the Philippines/New People’s Army/National Democratic Front (CPP/NPA/NDF).

In a chance interview shortly after the turn-over ceremonies of the OPAPP leadership held at the OPAPP headquarters in Ortigas, Pasig City last Thursday, Deles said the main challenge for her right now is to build the peace team that will continue the talks with the MILF and the CPP/NPA/NDF.

The peace panel team currently negotiating with the MILF is headed by Ambassador Rafel E. Seguis.

Earlier, Seguis promised to help in the peace efforts to be initiated by Deles “in efforts of achieving peace and prosperity for all in Mindanao.” (Francis T. Wakefield)
