The North All-Stars showed their vast experience as they crushed the youthful South All-Stars, 7-2, in the 2010 Filipino-American Friendship Day All-Star Sunday at the Alabang Country Club in Muntinlupa City.

The Northerners, composed of players from the RP national team, broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh before pulling away in the last inning of a seven-inning affair to take this special exhibition game in conjunction with the celebration of the Fil-Am Friendship Day.

US ambassador Harry K. Thomas, who sported a jersey of his favorite team the New York Mets, graced the affair by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.

Cebu's Joseph Orillana forced a groundout to second baseman Emil Dimatulac that allowed teammate Fongs Rances to score from third to make it a 3-2 contest in the fifth.

Then, the floodgates opened in the seventh when Vio Roxas blasted a solo homer off Batangas teammate and Southern relief pitcher Vladimir Eguia than made it 4-2.

Rances later extended the margin to four runs (6-2) on an RBI double to right field that pulled home Jonash Ponce and Nino Tator then later scored on a passed ball to settle the final tally.
