Nicole Hyala, Chris Tsuper bring on the fun as Smart and Talk ‘N Text’s newest endorsers
FM Radio royalties Nicole Hyala and Chris Tsuper of Love Radio 90.7 have become household names thanks to their distinctly entertaining brand of humor.
Now, the hottest and funniest radio tandem popularly known as Tambalan is bringing its act to an even bigger audience as the newest brand ambassadors of Smart and Talk ‘N Text.
“Nicole and Chris represent the fun, wholesome and down to earth image of Smart, especially one of its biggest brands: Talk ‘N Text,” says Carla Yap-Sy Su of Smart’s Brand Equity Management.
The pair will be promoting all the products and promos of all of the brands under Smart, as well as Talk ‘N Text.
Aside from mastering how to tickle their audience in their morning shows, the DJs have also become famous for the exciting phrases they invent, such as “nakakalerkei” and “trulaloo at walang halong eclavou.”
Showing their humor’s crossover appeal, Nicole and Chris’ venture into music was also a popular success. The pair’s most notable achievement is the hit single “Mahal Kita Kasi.” They released their first album “Hey! Tambalan Na! D’ Nakakalurkei Na Album” in 2008 and followed it up with their hit albums “Hey! Tambalan Na! D’ Mas Nakakalurkei Na Album” and “Hey! Tambalan Na! D’ Pinaka-Nakakalurkei Na Album.”
The P100 Unlitalk Plus load lets Talk ‘N Text users have unlimited talk and text. The unlimited text feature can be used the entire day, while the unlimited call feature is available from 10 p.m. until 5 p.m. the following day. Calls made anytime between 5:01-9:59 p.m. will have a P2.50/min call rate, versus the regular P5.50/min rate. The P100 Unlitalk Plus load is good for five days.

‘Juicy Cat Dolls’ series levels up
“The Juicy Cat Dolls” series has become bigger and bolder since its debut last February. Featuring the inimitable comediennes Mitch Valdes and Nanette Inventor with timeless songbird Pilita Corrales, the comedy-and-musical revue has proved itself to be dynamic.
No wonder that the next installment of “The Juicy Cat Dolls” at the Music Museum (on July 16 and Aug. 6) has been dubbed “the repeat and more.” The musical numbers have been upgraded, and the comedy, especially between Nanette and Mitch during their face off portion as politicians’ wives, made harder hitting.
Then again, the credit for its success also belongs to the people behind the scenes. Director Floy Quintos has obviously been on his toes in ensuring that the show’s pacing is right-on. Scriptwriter Ricky Lopez has kept a pulse on what’s hot which ultimately ends up being talked about onstage, coated in humor with a dash of sarcasm.
“The Juicy Cat Dolls” will also go on a major US and Canada tour scheduled for October 2010. Presented by Maxi-Music Incorporated, “The Juicy Cat Dolls: No Preservatives Added” is sponsored by La Scala Cafe on M. Adriatico and Lighthouse Studio, with media partners Manila Bulletin, Philippine Star and Business World.
