Park Jaebum to visit Philippines for fan meet

Filipino fans are in for one of the year’s biggest K-pop music treats.
Park Jaebum (a.k.a. Jay Park), former leader of K-pop boy band 2PM, will visit the Philippines and seven other Asian countries to hold his own fan meetings.
In an announcement published on the K-pop star's official website, it was revealed that the fan meeting tour will kick off in Seoul on August 28 and then go to Taipei, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore in the whole month of September.
The fan meetings will be organized by different Asian music promoters.
“We are very pleased to make this announcement,” according to Tinzar Sherman, official management representative for Jaebum. “The fans have been so patient and supportive of Jay. He wants to take the opportunity during the fan meets to thank all the fans for their unwavering support, and is looking forward to making it a lot of fun.”
The Shermans are Jaebum’s new managers. He was formerly with JYP Entertainment when Jaebum was still with boy band 2PM.
The Shermans said the “idea of the fan meets has been in development since May when several top promoters approached Jay’s management about the possibility of doing fan meets for Jay in their own countries.”
There might be additional cities in Asia and North America that will be added in the fan meet tour.
There are discussions about expanding the tour to additional cities in Asia and North America.
Jaebum will be appearing together with his dance crew AOM in each fan meet. Jaebum will sing songs, dance, and play games with fans. Jaebum and AOM will also show their b-boying talent when they dance with local b-boy crews.
“I am blessed to have such incredible fans. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to go on the road and meet with you in so many great cities. I hope to make you proud,” said Jaebum.
Jaebum, who has come back to South Korea from Seattle, Washington, in June, has filmed his first Hollywood movie “Hype Nation.”
