Drug pusher, relative cornered in buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – Police nabbed a suspected drug pusher and his relative and 26 grams of shabu worth P176,800 were seized in a buy-bust operation in Purok Neptune, Barangay Singcang-Airport, this city, on Friday, March 1.

Police Capt. Melvin Mercado, head of Police Station 8, said the suspects were both street-level individuals and had been monitored for more than a week.

Drug charges are being readied against the two suspects.

Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas chief, thanked operating units for their vigilance and dedication. Wanky said the operation helped halt the spread of illegal drugs in the region.
